Spa days are just the ultimate way for self-care and full relaxation. But sometimes, you don’t necessarily want to splurge on a spa package, and just want a simple, catered-to-you spa day without breaking the back. This is definitely possible to do at home - but how? What would you need? Read more to find out!

What’s your perfect spa day?

First, think about the elements you love during a spa. Is it the scent? The massage? The tea and treats? Or maybe even a relaxing bath? List them all down and as many as you can for now as you can later figure out how to schedule them out in your day.

Let’s talk about products

Now that you have any idea of what your perfect spa day would be, you would need to check your storage and get any products you might need. Each activity such as a massage versus a bath might require different products. See below for some products you might need.

Essential Oils

Essential oils are a must-have in any spa day item list. It can be used in a variety of ways such as enhancing the room with scent through diffusers or massage oils when combine with carrier oils. It is extremely versatile. They can even enhance shampoos if you add a drop or 2 to them. Essential oils are also a great addition to your household, even if you don’t use them for a spa day, so they’re definitely worth it.

Carrier Oils

As mentioned in the essential oils section, carrier oils can be combined with essential oils to dilute them (essential oils are super concentrated and can irritate the skin if used directly) and used as a massage oil.

Bath Salts and Hair Care

If you’re incorporating bath or shower time as your spa routine, there are many ways to enhance it and make it spa-worthy. One way is the use of relaxing and nourishing bath salts. They’re good for your skin and also help you relax even deeper. Hair care is also another great way to enhance your spa day.

A spa day would not be complete without a relaxing cup of tea. There are many types of tea available from relaxing chamomile to an invigorating peppermint. Depending on what you like, brew some, and enjoy it for your spa day.

Putting them all together

Now, the fun bit - putting your spa day together. Take note of the activities you’d like for your spa day in order. You might want to take a shower or bath first, then use essential oils in diffusers to prepare your room. Under each activity, list the products you might need to make it easier.
