Botanical Name: Carum carvi

Extraction Method: Caraway Essential Oil is steam distilled from the seeds of the Caraway herb. They’re first crushed before carefully-controlled steam is used to release the essential oil in the plant materials without damaging the botanical and aromatic compounds in it.

Origin: Egypt

Description: Caraway is a biennial herb that is native to Africa. Now, it’s cultivated in Northern Europe, Africa and Russia. Growing up to 2 ft (60cm) with delicate fern-like leaves, it has tiny white or red-tinged flowers that grows in clusters. Each Caraway “seed” is actually a tiny fruit from which Caraway Seed Essential Oil is steam distilled from.

Blends well with: Ginger, Basil, Lavender, Chamomile, Orange, Coriander, and Frankincense

Aromatic scent: Caraway Seed Essential Oil has a sweet, spicy odor with a hint of pepper
