Botanical name: Cedrus deodora

Extraction method: Himalayan Cedarwood Essential Oil is steam distilled from the wood of the Himalayan Cedarwood (Cedrus deodora). Steam is carefully applied so that it’s only hot enough for the Essential Oil to be extracted without damaging the delicate botanical and aromatic compounds that give it unique therapeutic properties.

Origin: India

Description: Himalayan Cedarwood is a tall, evergreen tree growing up to a majestic 164 ft (50 m) or taller. It can be commonly found growing wild on the Himalayan mountain range in northern India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Blends well with:  Rosewood, Rosemary, Bergamot, Cypress, Juniper, Cassia, Jasmine, Neroli, Labdanum, Frankincense, Clary Sage, Vetiver, Ylang-ylang

Aromatic scent: dry, woody, honey-like - just a tad sweeter than its close cousin, the Cedarwood Atlas Essential Oil.
