Cardamom Green Whole #5

Well packaged to preserve and good quality! Cardamom is one of my favourites - loaded with health benefits and adds beautiful flavour and aroma to any tea. Must have ingredient for herbal remedy!!

This cardamom is excellent quality. Everything I have bought at local health food stores pales in comparison. One common issue with cardamom is that sometimes most or all of the seeds become dry and light coloured, losing their sweetness and best flavor. Most batches I have got were mostly dried out, almost hollow. This cardamom #5 has big pods and only ~1/5 are dry, leaving much more intact seed pods. The taste is mostly the same as other batches but obviously sweeter due to more fresh seeds ratio.

Highly recommended.

If you like the scent and taste of cardamom you'll love this! Just opening the package was a high point in my day. So far I've only used it in 2 different chai tea preparations - one with the pods halved and scooped, and the other the same but then toasted in the oven. The flavour is heavenly both ways.
