Botanical name: Mentha arvensis
Extraction method: Steam Distillation is able to extract Essential Oil from peppermint leaves without affecting its delicate organic compounds. This means that our steam distilled Peppermint Essential Oil retains all the botanical benefits in the way which mother nature has intended it to be.

Description: The Peppermint plant has distinctive hairy leaves with serrated edges and purple spiked flowers. Peppermint Japanese is known for its high menthol content. In fact, it’s so high that menthol crystals sometimes form on the leaves.
Blends well with: Basil, Bergamot, Cajeput, Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Marjoram, Niaouli, Pine, Rosemary, Spearmint and Thyme.
Aromatic scent: due to its high menthol content, Peppermint Japanese Essential Oil has a sharp, penetrating mint scent. The sweet undertones also makes it a popular flavoring and scenting agent.
